"Benthos" is the scientific word for life on the seafloor. Benthivores are fish that prey on shellfish, crustaceans, and other small invertebrates living in the seafloor. Our boat will include several well-known New England benthivores: black sea bass, flounder, scup, redfish, tautog, haddock, and sea robin.
